This is a tiny donut shop that you might drive by since it's in a mostly residential neighborhood, but do not just drive by! Drive into the little adjacent parking lot, walk in, and order some of the most delicious donuts in PDX. The apple fritter is HUGE and perfectly crispy around the edges. All of the other donuts we tried were just as tasty. It's a good thing I live far away because I'd be in here almost every day. They're that yummy. And the owner is super nice and friendly. Go support this great local donut shop!

All Hail Donut Queen! This place is amazing, and a refreshing break from the bougie new donut chains and the garbage Dunkin-type chains. These are incredible, fresh donuts, and very reasonable prices. Their standard donuts (glazed or frosted homer simpson donuts) are very good, but the real stand outs are their larger cake donuts, twists, bear claws, and as everyone here has mentioned, their amazing apple fritters: football-sized, with lots of flavor. Also, most donuts places just taste sweet, but all the donuts here have a unique subtle flavor/spice that I just can't place (vanilla...some other spices). Really good. The bear claw had pureed apple, maybe even a light layer a custard in it. I've never had such a complex tasting bear claw and I would never imagine saying that in a sentence! Some reviews say they're too greasy, i say just greasy enough. If they aren't staining the bag, I don't want em!- feed those to your heirloom goats. I've been here a half dozen times since pandemic, and owner/workers have always been masked and polite. As other people have said, I've also gotten free donuts thrown in if I came during the end of the day (which is as people have said, when they run out of donuts...so just go check no big deal get over yourself). Plus a black-owned business in a town with precious few of them. Go give them your money (leave a big tip) and eat delicious donuts

If you are ever in Portland and want to support a small BIPOC business, check out Donut Queen. We heard about this place from a friend's daughter. They did not disappoint. Small on the inside nothing special. What is special is how amazing and yummy these donuts are. Made fresh daily. My apple fritter was warm, crispy on the outside and perfect on the inside with a good amount of apple. The cake donut with sprinkles...Also warm! You can grab a cup of coffee, milk or juice to go with your donuts. Very reasonably priced as well. We had the best conversation with a gentleman from Europe who was also there getting donuts and said he comes every Saturday to treat himself and his wife. Owner and son both working behind the counter and very pleasant

Best Donuts! We went in on a Saturday morning. There was no wait, and the donuts were still warm from the oven. So dang good!! Especially the fritter. Go here.

5 stars! I just happened to see this place on my way home one day and now it's my favorite donut shop. The apple fritter is what won me over initially. I love the bold statement of "best donuts in town," but they aren't wrong. In contrast, the people working there are very sweet and humble. With damn good donuts and pleasant staff, this place just needs some word of mouth and it will be the new Portland favorite!

I found out about Donut Queen because Pips donuts shared a post about the owner and the amazing apple fritters. Everyone in the comments was raving about them! I tagged a coworker who has tried every place in Portland it seems, but she hadn't had these. I marked it as a "one day I'm going there" destination. Well, a month later she requested it for her birthday! So on my drive to work in the morning I stopped here. I'll be honest, the outside is nothing special. If I didn't know what the internet proclaimed I would have thought nothing of this business. Inside they only had a few fritters and on asking if they had others, the owner was simultaneously popping back in and said he'd be right back. He came from the back with a fresh box of fritters, and not only were they fresh, and still warm, they were huge and only $2 each. What's even better is once my coworkers tried them, they were all blown away at how delicious they were!! I would 10/10 recommend. And hey, when you do you're also supporting a black business owner and that's really rad!

Amazing donuts! Their sign says best donuts in town, but honestly these are the best donuts in all of Oregon! They are completely different from voodoo or sesame's or blue star. They are like the donuts i would always have growing up in the south. Also they are huge donuts!! They are having problems with the phone cause I tried to call to make sure they are open, so just know as of now they are open!!

Dropped in this afternoon looking for an apple fritter. Unfortunately (and understandably), there was limited selection. However, it's a donut shop, so there's always something to leave with (unless, there isn't... ha!). I originally was just going to get the photographed buttermilk bar, but the person who helped me convinced me to also get an old-fashioned glazed since they were fresh. The old-fashion didn't last long enough to have its photo shoot, but it was... *chef's kiss* I'm used to old-fashions being more dense, but this one was light, slightly crispy, and had a more tender crumb. The buttermilk bar is more dense (but not unusually so) and is nice and soft in the middle. It's a bit crispier around the edges and is larger than typical. I'm only visiting for a week, and I am strongly contemplating another trip to grab an apple fritter.
